Our pension is ideally located at the end of the road, at the top of the Paul Valley. It is unique because it dominates at only three meters the riverbed more than 80 meters above the cliff. A breathtaking panoramic view, with guaranteed peace and quiet.
We have 2 double rooms with shared bathroom, 2 family rooms for up to 6 or 9 people with private bathroom.
You will find our pension at 2 hours walk down from the Cova Crater, in the first village, cabo de cha de manuel dos santos. A perfect stopover before hiking to three peaks, Cova (the crater) at 1260m, Pico d'Antonio, Pico da Cruz at 1690m, while the pension is at 630m in the Paul Valley.
For your relaxation, a reading room and deckchairs await you, rest for the after-hours walks.
Two terraces will welcome you for meals and breakfasts. We try to serve the products of the village such as local vegetables, fruits, meat, and fish that is caught only 8 km down the valley.
Breakfast is included in the price of the stay.
In our small shop, you will find the map of the island, hiking information, local coffee, different liqueurs and ponch, and rum aged over 8 years, aged in oak barrels, in our cellar which contains more than 3000 litres.

If you arrive from São Vicente to Porto Novo, ask for Du who drives a white Hiace with Du written in red on the door, he will take you to our place, in the Paùl Valley, for only 5€ per person.
From Pombas, the charge should be 1.50 euros per person.

An authentic Cape Verdean village! In the Paùl Valley, there is only one street, and always someone who passes by, says hello, or tells a story. And many paths to walk, on which you will find banana plantations, coffee trees, papaya, yams, maniocs, sweet potatoes, breadfruit, medlar trees, mango trees, all are our neighbours!
For hikes in the valley and around Cova, we can recommend some local guides, and on request we will prepare picnics baskets for you for 5€/pp.
The mandatory tourist tax of 2€50 per person and per night is not included in the price.
